Please read these terms carefully as they govern your use of our services and outline your rights and obligations.

Privilege Plus Loyalty Rewards Program

ITP Qld is proud to introduce the new and improved Privilege Plus Customer Loyalty program. Designed to reward our loyal customers.

Maintaining Your Membership Tier

To maintain their Privilege Plus Membeship Tier, the customer must consecutively lodge an eligible tax return with ITPQLD within the current financial year. Starting a tax return one year and starting two the following, does not constitute the member maintaining their loyalty level.

If a tax return is voided the member will not maintain their current loyalty status.

Upgrading Your Membership Tier

  • Silver: New Customers will be awarded Silver Membership, within 2 weeks from receipt of payment for their Tax Return Preparation.
  • Gold: A Silver member will be awarded Gold Membership, within 2 weeks from receipt of payment for their second (2nd) consecutive Tax Return Preparation. ie. 2021-22 and 2022-23.
  • Platinum: A Gold member will be awarded Platinum Membership, within 2 weeks from receipt of payment for their tenth (10th) consecutive Tax Return Preparation.

Downgrading

Any customer who does not complete their current year tax return before June 30th the following year, will lose all of their membership benefits.

Eligible Returns

To maintain / increase your Privilege Plus tier, you must complete an eligible return for the current year during the financial year, July 1 to June 30.

Eligible Tax Returns Include:

  • Individual Tax Return
  • Sole Trader Tax Return
  • Franking Credit
  • CU Form
  • Online Tax Assist

Discounted Returns

Privilege Plus Gold & Platinum Members are entitled to a discount off their current year return only, and eligible returns include (but not limited to):

  • Individual tax returns
  • Sole trader tax returns
  • Franking credit tax returns

The following returns are not eligible to be discounted. Not valid for:

  • Amendments
  • BAS
  • Company tax returns
  • Trust tax returns
  • Partnership tax returns
  • Bookkeeping Solutions clients
  • Online Tax Assist
  • CU Forms

Exclusions

Privilege Plus discounts are not valid with any other promotion unless specificially stated, this includes but is not limited to:

  • All flat fee promotions
  • Under 21s Flat Fee
  • $20 Off
  • Defence Force Discount

Monthly Giveaways

Every calendar month, 3 winners (one from each Membership Tier) will be awarded a cash prize, in the form of a VISA / Mastercard Gift Card, the value of:

  • Silver: $50
  • Gold: $100
  • Platinum: $150

To be eligible for these giveaways, the Privilege Plus member must have completed their current year's tax return, between July 1 and the final day of the previous calendar month. As an example, to be eligible for the September draw, you must have completed your current year's return between July 1 and August 31st, that year.

The winner will be selected by random, by a representative of ITP Qld. Prizes will be available for pickup at the customers recent office.

ITP Qld's Rights

ITP Qld reserves the right to disallow access to the Privilege Plus Customer Loyalty program to any customer deemed not to have complied with the trading terms of ITP Qld, or the ATO. ITP Qld may also modify the terms above at any point without notice.

At ITPQLD, we’re committed to getting you the maximum legal refund you’re entitled to. That’s why we offer our Refund Maximiser Guarantee.

What It Means

Our Refund Maximiser Guarantee ensures:

  • Your return is prepared by experienced tax professionals
  • We claim every deduction, offset, and rebate you’re legally entitled to
  • Your return is reviewed against ATO benchmarks and our internal checklists for completeness and accuracy

Our Promise

We guarantee that:

  • You’ll receive the highest legitimate refund possible under Australian tax law, based on the information and documents you provide
  • We will never inflate or fabricate deductions to boost a refund—we prioritise your long-term compliance and peace of mind

What It Doesn't Cover

  • This guarantee does not apply to outcomes based on information that is false, incomplete, or withheld
  • It is not a guarantee of receiving a refund, as outcomes depend on your personal circumstances and tax history

If you believe another registered tax agent could have obtained a higher legitimate refund using the same information you provided us, we’ll review your return at no additional cost.

Standard Fee

At select ITP QLD locations, we offer a flat fee of $145 for a standard individual Salary and Wage Tax Return.

What's Included?

The $145 standard fee covers:

  • Salary and wage income (from Income Statements or PAYG payment summaries)
  • Basic work-related deductions such as but not limited to:
    • Uniform and laundry
    • Union or membership fees
    • Simple work-related expenses

What's not included?

The following items are not included in the standard fee and will incur additional charges:

  • Supplementary Income:
    • Employment Termination Payments (ETPs)
    • Dividend income
    • Superannuation lump sum payments
    • Employee Share Schemes
    • Personal Services Income (PSI) without a payment summary
  • Complex Deductions:
    • Depreciation claims (e.g., tools, equipment)
    • Logbook-based motor vehicle claims
    • Dividend or interest-related deductions
    • PST Standard Worksheets
  • Other Exclusions:
    • Carried forward losses
    • Adjustments such as:
      • Part-year tax-free threshold
      • Superannuation contribution schedules
    • Other income types (e.g., business, rental, foreign income)
    • Other deductions outside the scope of standard salary and wage returns

Where excluded items are identified, your return will either attract additional charges or be priced under our standard complex return pricing. You will be informed before any work proceeds.

This standard fee of $145 is available only between 1 July and 31 October.

Pay on Refund (POR)

By selecting the Pay on Refund (POR) service for your tax return, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Service Overview

The Pay on Refund (POR) service allows eligible clients to have their tax return fee deducted directly from their Australian Taxation Office (ATO) refund. No upfront payment is required.

2. Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the POR service, you must:

    • Have a clear tax history, including:
      • No existing debts with the ATO
      • No history of refunds being garnished or redirected by the ATO for outstanding debts
    • Be lodging a return where a refund is expected
      • Agree to our fees being deducted from your refund before any balance is paid to you
  • 3. Processing Fee

    • An additional $40 Processing Fee applies per financial year where the POR service is used.
    • This fee covers administrative and banking costs associated with receiving your refund from the ATO and forwarding it to you.
    • The Processing Fee is charged in addition to our standard tax return preparation fees and will also be deducted from your refund.

    4. Refund Handling

    • Your ATO refund will be deposited directly into our trust account.
    • We will deduct all applicable fees (including the standard preparation fee and the POR processing fee) before transferring the remaining balance to your nominated bank account.
    • We aim to process and transfer the balance of your refund within 1–2 business days of receipt from the ATO.

    5. Ineligibility and Rejected Claims

    • If your refund is delayed, redirected, or garnished by the ATO for any reason (including outstanding debts or compliance issues), you remain liable for full payment of our service fees.
    • In such cases, an invoice will be issued for immediate payment.

    6. Client Responsibilities

    • You agree to provide accurate and truthful information regarding your tax history and financial obligations.
    • You understand that if any information provided is found to be false or misleading, you may become ineligible for the POR service and will be required to pay for services upfront or upon request.

    7. Changes to Terms

    We reserve the right to amend or withdraw the POR service and its terms at any time without prior notice. The most current version will always be available on our website.

    2025 Introductory Offer

    Introductory Fee: $119 for a standard individual Salary and Wage Tax Return

    Eligibility

    This offer is available to:

    1. New clients to ITP QLD
    2. clients who have NOT been with ITP QLD for 10 years or more

    Offer Details

    • The special rate of $119 applies to a standard Salary and Wage Tax Return only
    • Valid for 2025 tax returns only
    • Not valid in conjunction with any other offer or promotion, except for our $0 Up Front / Pay on Refund (POR) service
      • If POR is selected, the $40 processing fee still applies per return

    Important Notes

    If your return includes items not covered under our standard fee—such as rental properties, capital gains, sole trader income, investment income, or other complex tax matters—the introductory rate will not apply, and the fee will revert to our standard pricing structure

    • Offer is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash
    • ITP QLD reserves the right to withdraw or amend this offer at any time

    Under 21 Promotion

    • The special fee of $89 applies to clients who are under 21 years old at the time of their appointment.
    • This offer applies to a standard Salary and Wage Tax Return only.
    • Not valid with any other promotion or offer, except for the $0 Up Front / Pay on Refund (POR) service (processing fee still applies).
    • Proof of age will be required at the time of the appointment.
    • This promotion is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash.
    • ITP QLD reserves the right to amend or withdraw this offer at any time.

    Centre Staff Discount

    • Eligible clients who work in the shopping centre where our office is located receive 10% off the fee for their tax return.
    • This discount applies to 2025 tax returns only.
    • Not valid with any other promotion or offer, including the Privilege+ program, except for the $0 Up Front / Pay on Refund (POR) service (processing fee still applies).
    • Proof of employment at the shopping centre may be required at the time of appointment.Discount is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash. ITP QLD reserves the right to amend or withdraw this offer at any time.

    Tax Training School

    ITP The Income Tax Professionals Tax Training Course – Terms & Conditions

    By acknowledging that you have read and accepted the terms and conditions prior to registration you are agreeing to the following:

    Terms and Conditions are different for Self-paced and teacher courses, please refer to the course type you have selected.

    Fees and inclusions:

    The fee for the In-Class and Virtual courses is $99.00, the fee for the Self-Paced course is $379.00.

    The above costs include the following:

    • Access to our tax Training School portal – please note Self-Paced Course will NOT obtain access until full course fees are paid.
    • Teacher support
    • The total fee includes a Non-refundable deposit of $99.00. – refer to our refund policy for more information.
    • WI-FI whilst in attendance or weekly workshops – In-Class course only

    Exclusions:

    IT Support is not included in the above fees, it is the student’s responsibility to ensure that they have read our full terms and conditions and their device is compatible with our software.

    Compatible devices

    All devices MUST be compatible with Windows. The tax software that we provide as part of the course is NOT compatible with APPLE run devices.

    Transferring between course options:

    A student can only be transferred into another course type if the following applies:

    • Self-Paced to In class/Virtual – transfer can only be done prior to commencement of the course, the student MUST pay the difference if any in fees before transfer.
    • In-Class/ Virtual – Transfer will be done at the sole discretion of ITP.

    In-Class and Virtual Course Students

    Students who register for either In-Class or Virtual courses, agree that they will be ATTENDING two (2) weekly in class sessions. (Virtual will be held via Teams Meeting). After approximately week 14 virtual students MUST attend an ITP training office to complete office policy and procedure and hands on experience.

    Students who fail to attend weekly sessions will be withdrawn from the course after two (2) consecutive weeks if no attempt to contact either your teacher or our training coordinator is made.

    If a student has withdrawn from the course, all course materials and access to our training course will be ceased regardless of if fees are paid in full or not.

    Payment options - In-Class and Virtual course

    ITP accepts payment via the following:

    • Credit card
    • Cash/EFT in office
    • Payment plan (In-Class and Virtual course only)

    Payment plan - In-Class and Virtual course

    ITP offer students who participate in our In-Class and Virtual courses the option to pay off the fee for the Tax Training course.

    The student MUST pay a Non-refundable deposit of $99.00 upfront and make regular, weekly/fortnightly payments thereafter.

    The course must be paid for in full before April.

    Refund policy – In-Class and Virtual course

    The fee of $99.00 includes a non-refundable deposit of $99.00. therefore, any refund amounts are excluding the non-refundable $99.00 deposit.

    Refunds shall only be granted in the below instances:

    • Notice period: 14 days prior to commencement date Refund amount: $79.00
    • Notice period: Less than 14 days before commencement date Refund amount: NIL

    All cancelations must be in writing, the date and time of the notice will be used when applying for a refund.

    • Students will be withdrawn from the tax training course once notice has been provided.
    • Students cannot transfer their registration to another person.

    If ITP cancels a course of the student’s preference and another course cannot be provided ITP agrees to refund the full fee, including the non-refundable deposit.

    Promotions or offers

    ITP from time to time run promotional offers for our Tax Training course during the application process. Promotional offers are solely at the discretion of ITP and can be revoked at any time.

    Additional Terms and Conditions apply to students who apply as part of any promotional offers:

    • The full promotional fee must be paid up front – Payment plans are not available
    • Absolutely no transfers to another class will be available
    • Current enrolled/registered students are not eligible for the promotional price
    • If a student withdraws from the class within 7 days of commencement date a refund will be allowed, excluding the $99.00 deposit.

    Employment opportunities – In-Class and Virtual course

    Each year ITP recruit students from our Tax Training course to work as a tax Consultant, positions are subject to availability however with over 50 locations we have many positions on offer. Students must pass with at least 85% or higher to be eligible for an interview.

    In addition to successfully completing the course, students who are seeking employment must have:

    • Good availability throughout July – October
    • Excellent people skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Be able to attend physical offices/mall locations

    Please bear in mind, acceptance into the course is not deemed an offer of employment.

    Self-Paced Course Students

    Students who enrol into our Self-Paced course, are agreeing to complete the course with limited support and are NOT seeking employment with ITP. Full payment of course fees is applicable prior to gaining access to the online training program.

    Payment options – Self-Paced Course

    ITP accepts the following payment options:

    • Credit card
    • Cash in office

    Please note, payment plans are NOT offered to Self-Paced course students.

    Refund Policy – Self-Paced Course

    The fee of $379.00 includes a non-refundable deposit of $100.00. therefore, any refund amounts are excluding the non-refundable $100.00 deposit.

    Refund of fees will only be granted if the below applies:

    • Notice period: Prior to gaining access to online materials Refund amount: $279.00
    • Notice period: On or after commencement date Refund amount: NIL

    All cancelations must be in writing, the date and time of the notice will be used when applying for a refund.

    • Students will be withdrawn from the tax training course once notice has been provided.
    • Students cannot transfer their registration to another person.

    If ITP cancels a course of the student’s preference and another course cannot be provided ITP agrees to refund the full fee, including the non-refundable deposit.

    If a student has withdrawn from the course, all course materials and access to our training course will be ceased.

    Employment opportunities – Self-Paced Course

    Employment opportunities are not available for students who complete the Self-Paced course.

    Deferment options – All courses

    Deferment is not available on any course type.

Maintaining the privacy of your information is very important to us as it helps foster confidence, goodwill, and a stronger relationship with you.     Please note that this Privacy Policy applies only to itpqld.com and does not apply to the Online Tax Preparation website.

    Website Usage Information

    We collect your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, administer our website, and protect the server from abuse. We do not link your IP address to any personally identifiable information. We use tracking information to understand which areas of our site are visited most frequently, allowing us to enhance the content you value and replace what you don’t.

    Communication to the Site

    The ITP server may automatically scan the content of your communication to protect against defamatory, abusive, obscene, profane, or threatening material that is racially or ethnically offensive.

    Mailing List

    ITP ensures that all email subscriber lists and reports remain private and confidential. We do not sell, rent, loan, or invite external access to our mailing lists. Nor will we use customer contact lists for any purpose other than to send you our newsletter. Opting out of the mailing list will remove all your details associated with the mailing list user account.

    Use of Personal Information

    ITP collects and uses personal information to enhance the functions or services we provide. Your personal information may be used for:

    • Managing our relationship with you
    • Conducting and improving our business operations
    • Enhancing our overall customer experience
    • Identifying and informing you about other products or services we believe may be of interest to you

    Security of Personal Information

    We have implemented commercially reasonable technical and organisational measures to secure your personal information from accidental loss and unauthorised access, use, alteration, or disclosure. However, we cannot guarantee that unauthorised third parties will never be able to defeat these measures or use your personal information for improper purposes.

    Children

    This site is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
